The bike is fantastic but customer…

The bike is fantastic but customer service is non-existant. After 2 months of use the pedal assistance stopped working. I contacted customer support services via the webpage and asked me to review the connections. That I did, and I found some broken cables. Then I emailed then back reporting the issue with photos and they just ignored my email and the ones that came later asking if they had had a chance to review it. More than 1 month has passed already without even an answer of akcnoledgement from them. Desperate because I need that bike to take my boy to school, I when to a garage and tried to get the missing part through them even if I had to pay. They also contacted the company and took weeks to get a repply (at least they repplied this time) to tell them the price of the piece and to indicate that the piece was out of stock with no estimated time of arrival. I am now seriously considering buying a new bike of other company and sell this one as spare parts as they just seem to keep ignoring me. I have even placed a complain with the regional authorities for protection of customer rights.

Ordered 2 in stock rad expands and…

Ordered 2 in stock rad expands and waited the full UK waiting time as stated on the website. Ringing costumer services is a waste of time as all they do is read back to you what the website says.
So the the maximum delivery time was up, and guess what? - no bikes!
So again I ring and this time I was told the bikes had just arrived at the UK warehouse and would be with me pretty quick-guess what? No bikes!
So again I rang for an update on delivery and didn't mention I was told the bikes were in the UK. To my shock (not) I was told "sorry your bikes are still in the Netherlands" so the person I spoke to before had blatantly lied to keep me sweet. I am not being treated like a mug so cancelled and got a full refund.
In this day and age of next day delivery why the hell does it take so long to deliver if at all?! And they take your money first as well. Great bikes (hired some for the day and loved them) ruined by such poor service. I would advise anyone in the UK NOT to purchase from rad if you ever want a bike!!

Perfect for those of us who can't use a regular bike

This model came with a crappy seat and it doesn't fit a standard UK seat ( I tried my saddle from my old bike)
No chain guard, so you can't wear anything you want, don't cramp my style by suggesting ankle clips!
Mine didn't come with mudguards, everything must be purchased separately, so it's expensive

I think Rad Bikes now offer improved seating & mudguards which chafes my buttocks ( I can't say what I really wanna say, this is great for new customers, but annoys those of us who made a purchase prior to these upgrades *sad face*.

Do I recommend? yes I do because these bikes are great, I love mine even though I need to find a suspension post and comfy saddle, get yourself one, they deliver fast and it comes in a great big sturdy box to protect it.

I first discovered the RadRunner Plus whilst on holiday in Cornwall by renting one for a couple of days from a local bike hire shop. I’d not rode a bike for over 50 years and was a tad apprehensive to say the least. At the end of the hire period I didn’t want to give it back, I’d had the time of my life on it! 😁 Despite me begging the shop to selRead more about review stating Best.bike.everl it to me (they refused) So I set out to buy my own. It’s not surprising that these bikes sell out so fast! I kept checking the website until one day they were in stock 🎉Yay! So I quickly ordered one and got ready for the 5-8 weeks delivery to UK. Amazingly it arrived within 2 weeks, what a brilliant surprise! I’m over the moon with it, my only regret is that I didn’t add the pillion seat when I purchased the bike. If you’ve been thinking about whether to buy yourself one of these fabulous bikes then my advice is Do It! You definitely wont regret it.

Might be the best thing I've ever bought!

When I first bought my bike there were some serious shipping delays but these seemed to have resolved, with the accessories and extra parts I've been ordering lately arriving in good time. Their customer service is great, you can always get through to someone. In assembling my Radwagon, I did not add the pedals correctly and so ended up with a threadbare crank arm. I was able to talk to a really helpful technician who told me what I needed to do and Rad fully compensated me for it which I was very impressed with. My Radwagon 4 with the caboose, front basket, deckpad and those great wooden foot rests has been life-changing for my family to be honest. We barely use our car. I live in a very hilly, rural area and I've yet to run out of battery, with my two children riding on the back. My husband is now planning on getting his own one so we can bring the dog along with us too. It's a beautiful bike!

Partners 1 year old stepthru stopped…

Partners 1 year old stepthru stopped working, tested battery and motor via my bike, no joy so contacted rabies. Found Sander very helpful and accurate as had replacement display in post in days. Good experience.

DONT BUY A RAD BIKE READ THIS First

DONT BUY A RAD BIKE

Every time you need a spare part from rad bikes it never in stock, they are very sorry and say can you check in another week or so ... I need a new inner tube and guess west not in stock, i was asked to look back in a week or two.. but no guarantee they will have the stock..
So now my Rad wagon 4 i cant use to take the kids to school. this is not the first time i have tried to order parts and as always you have to wait a very long time , so now i have had to put the bike away in the shed till i can get a replacement tyre...

I will never buy another bike from this company and i will warn EVERYONE not to buy either as you just cant maintain the bike or repair it....

look at the other reviews about parts they all say the same , there is even a customer that has waited 4 months for tyres !!!!!!! Shame on you RadBikes

Order Cancelled radwagon4

I ordered a beautiful radwagon4 on 2nd April and accepted the delivery time given on the website of up to eight weeks. The problems started on week eight when I telephoned for an update, the lady was very polite but completely unable to tell me where my bike was or even if it existed. I gave them a chance but several weeks later and several phone calls later I decided to cut my losses and cancel the order.They seem to promise much but are unable to deliver on those promises or offer any reasonable explanation. There are other long tail cargo bikes out there, best avoid this lot

Think these bikes look pretty cool

Think these bikes look pretty cool, but I can’t confirm as I’ve never seen one, despite ordering & paying for it more than 12 weeks ago!

Made several enquiries about estimated shipping/delivery dates, to be assured it would be ‘soon’. Useful.

Awful communication and customer service that made me cancel my order. Can imagine waiting months for a repair or new part while useless bike sits rusting in my garage.

Shame. Great idea, terrible execution.

Waiting 4.5 months for a new inner tube.

I ordered a new inner tube on 7th February this year. It's now 21st June and it's still not arrived.... FOUR AND A HALF MONTHS AGO.
I contacted RAD at the end of April to hurry this along. They were polite, apologetic and even reimbursed my postage costs, reassuring me it will arrive soon. That was 8 weeks ago and still no tube. Not been able to use my bike for 5 months as it's a custom size inner tube.
The bike itself is/was great, but if anything goes wrong, don't expect it to be sorted within half a year.

They don't allow multiple Gift cards to be used on the same order. Crazy

If you were sincerely sorry you would allow two gift cards to be used...

The rule makes no sense.

Robbed and scammed by a seemingly legitimate company

Criminals hiding behind a company name.

I feel cheated and betrayed. My trust has been violated again and again and my patience rewarded with a big fat middle finger. At this point I wouldn't even speak of bad service as that would imply that there is actual service, which is not the case. IF support replies they are friendly but they just lead you on for another trip and make more promises that they do not intend to keep. I feel robbed and scammed by a seemingly legitimate company. If you decide to buy from this company I would urge you to get a lawyer immediately to make sure you get your money back in a timely manner. Or better yet: steer well clear of these criminals. Do yourself a favor and get a bike, any bike, from any company other than these scammers.

If you do decide to buy, get ready for this "RAD" experience:

6 months ago I ordered my Radrunner. After waiting 2 months the bike finally arrived. The box was completely torn apart and taped back together after taking what appears to be a massive hit to the size that had ripped the entire box apart.

The damage was unacceptable; both wheels are crooked and cannot spin freely. The rims on the front wheel got damaged, the frame got scuffed up, and even the battery has a dent in it. Truly unacceptable!

In good faith I contacted Rad about this issues and provided text, photo's en video's of the issue. At first they replied in a timely manner and with the willingness to resolve this issue. I was promised new parts and a refund of the shipping cost for the trouble. This was acceptable to me with the condition that the new parts would arrive within two weeks. We came to an agreement and they promised the parts would be there within two weeks, as I explicitly told them if it were to take longer - I would rather return the bike for a refund. After all, I bought the bike for this year - not for next year. They understood this as I had been waiting for 3 months at that point and so we agreed upon this solution.

It all went downhill from there. Another 3 months have passed now and the parts have still not arrived, nor have they been in contact with me. It has been 6 months now since I have placed my inititial order. 6 months.. yes, 6 months!

Not only have I not received the parts that were promised, Rad has now decided to completely ignore me. My emails go unanswered and there has been no response whatsoever.

I have tried to take the bike to a local mechanic but no one will touch it as the motor is in the rear wheel and they cannot take responsibility for it should something go wrong when they attempt to true the wheels.

A few weeks ago I got sick of waiting and decided to try and see if I could at least ride the bike a little while I waited for the parts to arrive. I managed to slightly correct the wheels to the point where it was at least rideable. I discovered that the rear wheel was even worse off than I thought. It looks like the rear tire has a massive sling it and it is slinging from side to side, rubbing the break rotor and undoubtedly accelerating the wear and tear on the bike.

I have since done some short trips on the bike and in truth the bike itself is nice, but no bike is worth this amount of trouble. And it is a 2nd hand product at best so it should be priced accordingly. I paid for a new product!

Now I am stuck with a 2nd hand bike for the price of a new one with no prospect of a solution.

Battery wont charge, support doesn't answer

After one month the battery of my rad city 5+ wont charge.

The phone number of the support in Europe doesn't work and i have no answer to my emails.

This is really poor customer service.

RadRhino6 Fat Boy.

RadRhino6 - since January I’ve managed 7 miles😢🤪 it’s like knocking your head on the wall trying to get sense from these people! Do you not buy expensive equipment off the Internet because there is no backup! Repairs you have to do yourself as this company has no outlets in UK. Electrical problems!!! Still waiting for my part

A bad start, but a good finish.

Received my bike today, was really excited till I saw the damage to the packaging. Once the bike was removed from the packaging I could see some damage to the rear of the bike. On attempting to put the bike together I found the rear forks to be twisted so it is impossible to line the rear wheel up, it is pushed up against one of the forks. I've tried multiple times to contact the uk helpline but it seems there's no one home! No one answers the phone so what's the point in a helpline if no one man's it?! I'm furious. The UPS guy that delivered it apologised for the damage to the box stating that was how they received it. The bike has been compressed by an extreme force at some stage from the manufacturer to me. It's infuriating that companies take no care in conveying peoples goods, all those damaged goods end up costing everyone more in the long run so everyone loses out, and people in my situation now have a massive fight to get a new replacement, why make it so bloody difficult?

An addition;
After eventually getting a response from RadPower, they were very apologetic and got on to this mess straight away. They arranged for the collection of the wrecked bike and started a new order for a new replacement bike. The lady I dealt with was extremely helpful and attempted to keep me informed along the way. The replacement bike arrived just over a week later and I am pleased to report that this was immaculate and I was up and riding within 2 hours. Absolutely over the moon with it and have started clocking up the miles, luckily the weather has been glorious so the rides have been even more enjoyable.

I’ve had my RadMini 4 for 7 months and…

I’ve had my RadMini 4 for 7 months and it’s still a little hard to settle on a rating. Let’s start with the positives
1) Aesthetics - This bike looks good. I mean everywhere I go I have to answer questions on where I got the bike.
2) I have to say it is so solidly built (although this is a two sided coin. I will come back in the negatives). It is definitely going to last a long time. 7 months in and I can already tell. I’ve been involved in one accident where I feared I had must have dented the frame. Minor scratches. Nothing else.
3) It’s maintenance friendly which is really nice for an ebike. If there is anything you cannot do, you’re just one YouTube video away from figuring it out.

Negatives
1) For me, this doesn’t bother me so much but it did take some time to get my bike. I try to understand also from the suppliers point, especially with supply chain issues from covid. It took about 5 weeks to receive my bike. Like I said, I wouldn’t call it a deal breaker but I know this can be improved on
2) Like i Said double sided coin. This bike is definitely well built but there is no way it weighs 27kilos as stated in the description. This bike is properly heavy. One of the reasons I settles for the Rad Mini 4 was because it was foldable. However, I have only folded it 3 or 4 times. It’s too heavy to carry with one hand and bulky enough that it’s awkward to move it around. Also, this is unique to individuals. If you just want a good bike, then go ahead. If however, you want it for the portability, I would suggest something else.
3) Accessories - For me, this is something I really wish Rad would improve on. Since I bought my RM4, I have not been able to purchase the rear rack. Naturally, Without the rear rack, I cannot mount the bags. Unfortunately, I cannot find any 3rd party rack that’s can be fitted on the bike. Sine I use my bike a lot for shopping, this really hurts. Also, i once had a flat and had to replace the tube. I couldn’t find a 3rd party tube on the market. To be fair, I ordered a tube from Rad and it only took a week but I still cannot help but wonder how long Rad will continue to support accessories for RM4 especially when it looks like they have finally retired this model.

All in all, I really love this company and their products and I want them to succeed. I’ve had more pleasant experiences with the bike than non-pleasant. Maybe with easily accessible accessories it would be 5 stars. For now it’s 4 for me.

A big thumbs up from the UK.

If you live in the UK you'll probably wonder if it's worth waiting for your bike to be shipped from Europe. (Mine took three months to arrive, but I'm not going to blame Rad Power for the problems of Brexit.) The answer is yes, your patience will be well rewarded. I just can't fault this bike, it's every bit as good as it looks and the customer backup support is great too. Top value for money.

Absolutely amazing bike

Absolutely amazing bike, carries all my work gear and looks really cool in the army green. I put camouflage bags on the back and it really turns heads!
